Fright Night

Dressing up is so much fun... especially when you get to look scary!! My friends and I celebrated Halloween with drinks and dress ups before hitting the town to frighten the locals. I was meant to be a dead bride (note the bullet hole, blood, leaves in veil and dirty dress) but everyone just thought I was on a hen's night. Thanks Gold Coasters.
I had fun transforming my $10 op-shop dress into something a little more stylish.... and then Holly and I had a ball trashing it!! The only thing is, now I've got a muddy, bloody, coffee smelling bridal dress in the dress ups. What to go as next year? Dirty fairy? Wounded princess? Maybe I'll get out the NapiSan.... Happy Halloween!!!

Love Love Love!

Source: Zimmermann

Does this post really need words? The high summer Zimmermann campaign is amazing as always. My favourite Australian label does it again. These are my fav pics... and I want it all xxx

Hola!

Top: Ellery, Skirt: Vintage, Shoes: Mollini

A quick outfit post before I head off to work today. This isn't what I'm wearing to work... I have a uniform (that is not really inspiring enough to post a pic of!). I went out for dinner last night to a Mexican restaurant for a friend's birthday (happy birthday Danni!). Yummy sangria and spicy enchiladas! These pictures were actually taken at the end of the night when I got home. I realised I hadn't taken any outfit pictures so quickly got Percy on the job. He managed to cut off the shoes in most of the photos... and the one photo with shoes is slightly blurry. I'm not complaining though! Much better than my attempts with the self timer! Happy Sunday! x

Peter Pan

Source: Vogue, Topshop

It's raining today so whilst my washing gets soaked I've decided to update my somewhat neglected blog (sorry readers!). Just thought I'd share my latest obsession, peter pan collars. Classic and cute! I love how Alexa styled hers, and the Topshop dress is so pretty. If only they made it in white.... (have I mentioned my love of little white dresses?) Happy weekend!

Happy Birthday To Me

It was my birthday last week!! I had so much fun and got so many special presents. A big thank you to everyone for the lovely gifts and fun times!! This heart ring by Jordan Askill was one of my presents. I absolutely love it!!

Flowers & Chains

Dress: Motel (borrowed from Steph's wardrobe) Shoes: Aldo

I spent the weekend in Brisbane with 3 of my fabulous girlfriends and it was so much fun. My feet are still sore today from all the dancing I did in my new heels! Deciding on what to wear out is always a fun decision and boy did we have options! One of my lovely friends from Melbourne sent me up a few outfit choices and I ended up wearing this colourful frock from Topshop. I absolutely love the print on this dress... I'm very tempted to buy it in a different style... or is that over the top?

Shoes & Socks

Skirt: Andrea & Joen Shoes: Funkis Socks: Bonds

The sun shining in my back-yard on the weekend inspired me to run outside and do a quick outfit post before heading off to Brisbane. These shoes are so comfy and they're perfect to wear with floral dresses and socks. I wish I had some of those frilly lace socks I used to wear to school as a kid... hmmm time for another shopping mission xx

Mr Postman

Firstly, sincere apologies for the lack of posts!! Hopefully I'll make up for it in the coming weeks! I received a gorgeous little something in the post this morning (thank you Mr Postman) and it came wrapped in brown paper with a lovely hand-written message. Thanks to Old Road Vintage, a little etsy store I stumbled across, for sending me this incredible leather skirt (outfit posts to come). So amazing that it came all the way from New York. Oh and I mustn't forget the other parcel that arrived today... a million thank you's to my gorgeous friend Steph for coming to the rescue. My "what-to-wear-out-on-the-weekend" dilemma is solved. Love you!

Knitting Pattern Chic

Source: Fashiongonerogue

My last posts have been really short (in the word department) because I'm currently suffering from "blogger's block" (if such a thing actually exists). Each time I post pictures that I really like I've been struggling to put words together so that the post is actually worth reading and not just "I love this, I like that". After saying that, I love this feature from Elle Sweden. So 1950's! With the woolen cardigans and fluffy knits they remind me of pictures from a vintage knitting pattern. So perfect and cosy for the chilly weather we've been having. And those cat eyes! I'll be wearing eyeliner tomorrow, and maybe I'll don some heels when I hang out the washing.

Alexa

I think I want her tan, or her shirt, or both. Love Alexa's style.

Repossi

I love this ring by Repossi. I'm sure it's a little (ok, a lot) out of my price range, maybe I can find a similar one somewhere else. Any ideas?

Classic (Part II)

I just had to add this when I thought of it. Those last photos I posted of Diane and Josh remind me of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire from the movie Top Hat! This is when they're dancing "cheek to cheek".

Classic

I'm not sure who took these photos of Diane Kruger and her beau Joshua Jackson, but I love them. They've got such a classic, elegant, old worldly feel. I love the detail on Diane's dress and Josh's bow tie. So stylish.

Seventies

My favourites.

The Runaways

After seeing the previews I'm really keen to watch this movie. I've only seen clips and screen shots but here's what I already love about it:

1. The fashion (I've already dug out my wide leg jeans and am now coveting a bowie tee)

2. Dakota Fanning (she looks gorgeous and so grown up)

3. The fact that Kristen Stewart finally has a role that suits her (although I'm not a huge fan of her acting and I don't think she's at all suited to the role of Bella in Twilight, I think she'll make a great good Joan Jett)

Hmm now I'm feeling all 70's inspired... off to blow wave my hair and listen to Janis Joplin xx

Lovely Lace

As soon as I saw this photo of Olivia Palermo I had to post it. That lace dress is amazing!

Stella

These photos from the Stella McCartney show are so great, and that blue lace dress!! Gorgeous.
(I'm loving blue and orange together at the moment... doesn't that man look great in his orange gear next to the blue dresses?)

My Favourite

Source: zimmermannwear, stylemeromy

I've been meaning to do a post on this for a while now... Zimmermann's Spring/Summer Collection 10/11. Amaaazing!! The prints, cuts, colours... I love it all.

Oh and I'd just like to mention that the swallow print that is so popular at the moment (think Chanel tattoos, Miu Miu prints) was featured by Zimmermann back in 2007. Zimmermann... always my favourite xx
